I started dealing with accessible tourism services during my work at Hungarian Tourism LTD, later at the Hungarian Tourism Agency as a tourism product manager. During this time, I participated in several projects facilitating people with limited mobility, or impaired vision and hearing to travel and enjoy their travel experience. I had the chance to learn about the best practices of other countries as a participant on an international UNWTO professional conference, and I also came across many good examples and initiatives in Hungary.
In addition to my professional work, I am volunteering in the activities of the REHAB Critical Mass NGO, and I am a volunteer reader of the audio library of the Hungarian National Association for the Blind.
Travelling comes naturally to the physically fit but remains an inaccessible desire, an unfulfilled dream for those living with disabilities. Being a volunteer at Accessible Hungary, I have a lot of pleasure in making this dream come true in the future to more and more people living with impaired mobility, hearing or vision.
